If you ever think of copper sheets, the words that come to mind are probably not "colorful", "vivid", or "dynamic"; yet, as has recently been discovered, there's no need for that to be the case. Over the past few years, the copper industry has been finding new uses for copper as a decorative material. Through chemical processing, natural colors called patina can be flushed out of the copper itself. Before this chemical process was discovered, patina effects would take years of enduring various climate conditions before they'd be brought out, but now we can simulate the effects of harsh weather in mere days or hours, allowing people to acquire sufficient quantities to use for the decoration of walls, furniture, cabinets, etc.

So they exist. What can we do with them?

Though there are many, many, possibilities, some of the most likely uses for patina copper are: cabinets, counter tops, bar tops, furniture, lamps, tables, range hoods, signs, and a backsplash. Additionally there are quite a few different patterns out there, so it's unlikely that you won't be able to find one to fit whichever color scheme your using. Below, I'll place a gallery of images for you to view so that you have an idea of how patina copper looks.
